Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services to students in the Newberry, South Carolina area for the 20262027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers a hybrid schedule, allowing you to work four days onsite and one day remotely each week while supporting students across multiple schools.

Position Details

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
School Year: August 3, 2026 May 27, 2027
Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day work-from-home
Itinerant position serving 3 schools
Working with students in Kindergarten through 12th grade
Approximate caseload of 50 students
Collaborate with administrators, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement and well-being

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments.
Interpret assessment results and prepare detailed evaluation reports.
Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and families regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
Assist in developing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed.
Support crisis intervention, prevention, and school-based mental health initiatives.
Collaborate with school staff to promote positive learning environments and student success.
Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.

Qualifications

Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
Valid South Carolina School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification.
Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting is preferred.
Strong assessment, report writing, communication, and consultation skills.
Ability to manage an itinerant schedule and collaborate effectively across multiple school sites.
